Visual Arts
Art Access: Art Institute of Chicago provides online a wealth of multicultural art resources related to it institute's collections: Ancient-American Art of the America's, African-American Art, Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, and Modern and Contemporary art. Resources in each area include lesson plans, family activities, a glossary, books and media, and maps as well as thumbnails of the art. the lesson plans are geared toward particular grade levels but can be adapted for any level, and the art projects in the family activities can be adapted for classroom use.

ArtsConnected: For Your Classroom: The Minneapolis Institute of Arts provides a collection of art lessons and projects for Grades K-12. To find this classroom material be sure to check "online items only." You can also browse this database by grade level or by learning area.
ArtsEdge's Teaching Materials: The Kennedy Center offers teaching materials based on the nation art education standards. The site provides K-12 teachers with curriculum units, lesson plans, activities, and other ideas for integrating the arts into classroom teaching.
Basic Visual Arts Lessons: This site offers a collection of basic visual arts lessons from pencil/black pen drawings to collages for middle and high school students.
Crayola Art Education lesson Plans: Crayola Art Education Lesson Plans provide K-12 teachers with a variety of lesson plans that help guide students to recognize that creative communication involves not only language and visual arts, but social studies, science, and math. Users can search by products (crayon, markers, colored pencils, etc.), subject area, and age.
Eyes on Art : Sponsored by pacific Bell, this site provides seven visual art Web-based lesson plans and a teacher's guide for K-12 classes.
Huntington Art Gallery Lesson Plans: The Huntington Library in San Marino, California, provides "Discovering Art" lesson plans that introduce primary age children to art using basic concepts such as line, shape, color, texture, and light. It also offers other art lesson plans for students in Grades 4-12.
Marvin Bartel's Art Lessons: Dr. Marvin Bartel, a professor of art at Goshen College in Indiana, provides a a collection of his lessons to foster students' imaginations and abilities to develop their own ideas for art work. Topics range from cubism to clay sculpture.
Modern Art Lesson Plans: Modern Art Lesson Plans contains a collection of lesson plans from the Utah Museum of Fine Arts on the work or modern artists such as Robert Indiana, Victor Vasarely, and Andy Warhol.
Walker Art Center: Educational Activities The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, provides more than 70 art lessons and projects organized by grade and by subject for PK-12. Each activity includes a description, objectives, suggestions for materials and artworks to use, a procedure, and the specific graduation standards that apply.

Music at School: Provides secondary school music teachers with resources and internet links. Moreover, the site has 127 free worksheets along with music news and chart information.
Music Education Hotline: Features an interactive message board and chat room, hundreds of links, news articles, and book reviews.
Music Teachers and Technology: This site has K-12 music teachers you can contact for assistance, s well as music, video, speech, and panoramas to improve learning. In addition, you can listen to self-guided learning from real world examples.
Music Teacher's Resource Site: Includes an Ask-an-Expert page where you can find online help from a list of music education experts. Also on the site are equipment and instrument reviews, arrangement and class projects, vocal and instrumental rounds, lyrics you can print out, and songs with a MIDI file that you can enjoy listening to on your computer.
