At the middle school level both students and teachers are divided into teaching "teams" that consist of approximately 125 students and 45 teachers. Within each team the academic areas of math, language arts, social studies, science and reading are covered. At the middle school level, special areas, including physical education, music, health and unified arts become part of the student's total education.
