A reminder...Don't forget sneakers on gym days!

FALL PHYSICAL
EDUCATION NEWSLETTER

It’s been a wonderful beginning in Physical Education class! In our initial meetings I’ve described what Physical Education will be like for your child and how we solve common problems that might arise during the year. We have discussed the Game Plan for success in class and have it posted on the gym wall so each child is well aware of my expectations.

Mr. Tenero’s Physical Education Game Plan:
I will listen.
I will wear sneakers.
I will always do my best.
I will be very nice to others.
I will use our equipment properly.

We were very fortunate this fall to have the services of Casey Federico, a student teacher from Springfield College. Highland students have already enjoyed introductory units, featuring musical workouts, Adventurobics and aerobic games. Older students appreciated the option of either a Punt, Pass and Kick unit with Mr. Federico or joining the Strider’s Club with Mr. Tenero.

Stay healthy!
Mr. Tenero

Thank you to everyone who has donated used sneakers to the Physical Education Department. This allows children who’ve forgotten to bring their sneakers an oppportunity to participate safely. If you have a pair of clean, outgrown sneakers at home, please send them in and we’ll get some more use out of them.

MR. TENERO’S PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASS IS ABOUT...

...moving your body safely.
...respecting others.
...cooperating with others.
...solving problems.
...doing your best.
...not giving up.
