Attendance
Dear Parents,
Please be reminded that we are required by the State Department
of Education to keep track of absences. I am writing this
letter simply to remind parents the importance of school
attendance and the importance of following through with
(1) a phone call and (2) a written note from home. In
cases of serious attendance issues, we will work with
parents to develop an intervention plan to improve attendance
at school. .
The following is a list of EXCUSED
absences:
1. Illness
2. Bereavement
3. Family Emergency
4. Observation of religious holiday
5. Court Appearance
6. Suspension
7. Weather related condition
8. Involvement with the Department of Child and Family
Services and the Department of Youth Services
Please contact the school at #572-6428 with your name,
child’s name, teacher's name, and reason for absence.
We will be calling home for all cases of three or more
consecutive days absent if no contact has been made with
the school. .
The following are considered UNEXCUSED
absences:
1. A family vacation
2. Any reason from above where documentation is missing
( IE: note from home, doctor’s note, documentation
for court appearance,….) |
