Fort Meadow School Nurse

Mrs. Duquette Fort Meadow School Nurse |
Greetings from the Fort Meadow Health Office. We have had a good start to the 2009-2010 school year. We are busy and "on the go" learning new things in class every day. Please make sure your child is well rested before sending him/her to school. As we head into the flu season, please remember the #1 procedure to deep your children healthy...HAND WASHING! Also, please do not send your child to school if: They have a fever over 100 degrees. Temperature should be normal X24, without the use of fever reducing medications. If they have vomited or had diarrhea the night before. All symptoms should be gone X24 hours before return to school. If they have a bad cold/flu/constant cough/excessively runny nose. If they have a rash that could be contagious. If they have strep throat, pink eye, impetigo or any other contagious sickness. They should also be on an antibiotic for 24 hours prior to returning to school. If your child has been to his/her doctor, and on some type of medication, please write the teacher a note, or call me, so we are aware of that fact. Looking forward to a fun and healthy school year!
