Mrs. Rogers

All about Mrs Rogers:

I have taught music at Franklin Avenue School for 17 years! I am originally from Richmond, Virginia and graduated from Radford University. We moved here in 1988 from Louisiana when my husband became Professor of Music Education at Westfield State College. I love to travel, draw, paint, and shop. Classical music is my favorite, and I enjoy playing the piano and organ. My family plays many instruments: my son - cello and electric bass, my daughter - piano and trombone, my husband - trumpet, euphonium, and piano. I love cats and dogs. We were very sad when Schubert, our 15 year old Bichon Frise dog passed away this year.

I enjoy teaching all the classes. We read music, sing, play instruments, and study famous composers and their music. Fifth graders are working hard to learn their songs for the Holiday Concert. Don't forget to join us December 16 at 9:30AM and 7PM.

My personal message:

Always do your best and treat others with respect.
