Mrs. Knapik's personal message:

"Most people don't know that there are angels whose only job is to make sure you don't get too comfortable and fall asleep and miss life."

Visitors to our class can see this quotation on a colorful poster hanging on the wall by my desk. A few years ago, my colleagues gave me this poster when I finished my first year of teaching, and I treasure this message.

As a kindergarten teacher, I spend my days in a classroom full of "angels" who inspire me with their energy and ideas and laughter! I truly enjoy these kids and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn with them.

I also value my relationships with you - - their families. I believe that families and teachers are partners in a child's education. By working together, we can help your child reach his/her academic and social potential.

I encourage parents/guardians to become actively involved in their children's education:

• Read with them everyday
• Check their folders every night for notices and work samples

• Encourage them to show you their projects and papers
• Talk with them about what they're doing at school
• When you can, please join us for events such as open house, conferences, performances, PTO and Title I programs.

I have provided every one with my contact information. I encourage you to contact me with questions or to share information that may affect how your child is doing in school.
