Internet Safety

Internet Safety and the Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center

The Internet is a wonderful resource for teaching and learning about the world as well as a great means of communication. Keep in mind though that anybody can post anything on the Internet, and there's lots of inappropriate stuff out there. And more importantly, there may be what are termed predators on the Internet, people looking to access personal information about you and even some people on-line that are looking to manipulate and exploit young children. With these issues in mind, refer to the links below to learn about Internet Safety:

Netsmartz.org is sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club of America and other concerned organizations. It is a wonderful resource for information concerning the impact of the Internet and safe use of the Internet by children and teenagers.

Netsmartzkids.org is part of the Netsmartz website that is specifically geared for children, and which students have visited in computer class with Mr. Houle.

Click here to see the Netsmartz Internet Safety Pledge signed by 3rd and 4th Graders.
